Ludwig's
FSB Member-Owner Randy Simmons hand-selects beers and breweries to participate in the annual Springboro Oktoberfest; this authentic Kolsch was created to celebrate the 2017 festivities. While the same grain and hops bills found in FSB's 1600 are used during brewing, Ludwig's is fermented with a traditional German ale yeast strain to produce a light, refreshingly malty ale with just a touch of minerals from the recipe's water profile.

Saison 484
Brewed with malts of Haus Malts Pilsner and triticale, a wheat-rye hybrid first bred in laboratories during the late 19th century in Scotland and Germany. Hopped with ADHA-484 hops, which offer an aroma of woody cedar, bubblegum, and spice, and fermented with a traditional farmhouse yeast strain. A nose of lemon and hay and a classic taste that's dry and crisp with a bit of yeasty spice that offers a slightly bitter finish make this an easygoing, well-balanced saison for the summer that you'll return to again and again.

Lisa's Luck
Winner of the Brewmaster's Choice award during FSB's 2016 Homebrew Competition, by Todd Greiner, and named by and for his friend Lisa Moran, who blogs about "celebrating the thrills of victory, reflecting on the agony of defeat and bounding obstacles while living life with incurable, stage iv, lung cancer." This beer is an amber ale that features malt with notes of sweet caramel, medium carbonation, and a bit of hoppiness to clean the palate in the finish.

Laboratory IPA #1
There are hundreds of thousands of different combinations of the four main brewing ingredients. Changing one or two of those can make a drastically different beer. FSB's new Laboratory IPA series will feature different hop combinations or techniques to chase the elusive "perfect" IPA. Number one is our Icebreaker grain bill with Idaho #7 hops replacing the Columbus hops and fermented with a German ale yeast instead of an American ale yeast, then dry-hopped with a blend of Ekuanot, Mosaic, and Idaho #7 hops.

Definitely Frances v3.0
FSB's flagship DIPA is named after our brewmaster's elder daughter, with the version number corresponding to her age. Happy birthday, Frances! The hops used in the recipe change with each version, giving each release a new and distinctive profile. Version 3.0 was brewed for a delicious and intense malt/hop balance using Ekuanot and Azacca hops to produce a beer that's lush with citrus rind and notes of pine mixed with dried herbs and backed with tropical fruits such as mango, pineapple, papaya, and passion fruit.

Jo Jo's Midnight
FSB's flagship stout pays homage to Jo Jo’s Café, housed from 1937 until 1996 in the space the brewpub now occupies. Rumor has it that Jo Jo and a few former café regulars still haunt the corner of Fifth & Henry, mostly around midnight, of course. As dark as its name, this stout uses flaked oats to produce a smooth quaff of espresso and milk chocolate with a touch of sweetness from lactose. Well toasted and slightly roasty. A hint of caramel may surprise in the solid finish. Gold medal winner of the American Stout category at the 2016 U.S. Open Beer Championship.

Trotwood
Fireflies flash. Crickets hum. And the campfire, around which you and your companion sit, crackles and smokes. You watch the plumes, as they slip through the arms of old-growth trees, and vanish into an expanse of ancient stars. Perfectly timed, you reach into the cooler, and grab not one can, but two. You look deep into the flames, and smile. As the best stories always do, yours begins. “Remember that time when.” Trotwood Lager. A crisp, cold-fermented beer. Best enjoyed in the middle of nowhere with family and friends.

Root Beer
Abita Root Beer is made with a hot mix process using spring water, herbs, vanilla and yucca (which creates foam). Unlike most soft drink manufacturers, Abita sweetens its root beer with pure Louisiana cane sugar. The resulting taste is reminiscent of soft drinks made in the 1940s and 1950s, before bottlers turned to corn sugar and fructose. Some soft drink makers add caffeine to their product, but Abita is naturally caffeine-free. Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an old-fashioned root beer float. Abita Root Beer can also be used in cooking to create delicious glazes and sauces as well as cakes and other desserts, or you can keep it simple – just pour it into a frosty mug and slurp loudly through a straw.
