Flavorwise
FSB's spin on a traditional German Pilsner. A base of bread-like, husky German Pilsner malt was brewed with a healthy dose of Pekko hops, a relatively new American variety that brings herbal and floral notes to the beer. Crisp and refreshing with a sessionable ABV, this one is built to be an easy drinker.

Ludwig's
FSB Member-Owner Randy Simmons hand-selects beers and breweries to participate in the annual Springboro Oktoberfest; this authentic Kolsch was created to celebrate the 2017 festivities. While the same grain and hops bills found in FSB's 1600 are used during brewing, Ludwig's is fermented with a traditional German ale yeast strain to produce a light, refreshingly malty ale with just a touch of minerals from the recipe's water profile.

Herbivore No. 5 (Garden Tour)
Brewed to celebrate the 2018 St. Anne's Hill Home and Garden Tour, this beer is all about hibiscus flowers. These flowers produce an intense red hue, complement the floral notes produced by the farmhouse yeast strain used during fermentation, and contribute a cranberry-like flavor with a bit of tartness in the finish. Originally created by FSB Board member Tom Morgan and winner of the 2017 FSB homebrew competition in the New Herbivore category. Take a garden tour with us and stop to smell the flowers!

Nona-nut
FSB's signature medium-bodied malty brown ale, Ramona, gets natural coconut flavoring added to the keg after carbonation. This adds a subtle toasted coconut flavor which reads a bit fruity to a taste profile of caramel and toast with a hint of nuts.

Laboratory IPA #3
Brewmaster Darren Link's experimental Laboratory IPA series continues with a recipe that was brewed with Pekko and Lemondrop hops, fermented with a Scottish ale yeast, and then dry-hopped with a combination of the brewing hops to highlight their aromas. Pekko hops are named for the Finnish god of field and crops, and offer a complex herbal character that displays notes of mint, juniper, or sage. Lemondrop hops are true to their name, providing a fantastic lemon-citrus effect. Using Scottish ale yeast allows for the subtle addition of light fruit esters to the beer. Astrophysical
Presenting a completely new style of IPA - the Brut IPA. This style is brewed to create a beer with a low-to-no malt body and a super-dry finish in order to present its Apollo, Cluster, and Galaxy hops as exclusively as possible. In addition, four pounds per barrel of hops were used to dry-hop the beer after fermentation to enhance the aroma. With a noticeably low IBU number indicating mild bitterness, this Brut IPA drinks with a white wine grape essence and offers notes of grapefruit.

Jo Jo's Midnight
FSB's flagship stout pays homage to Jo Jo’s Café, housed from 1937 until 1996 in the space the brewpub now occupies. Rumor has it that Jo Jo and a few former café regulars still haunt the corner of Fifth & Henry, mostly around midnight, of course. As dark as its name, this stout uses flaked oats to produce a smooth quaff of espresso and milk chocolate with a touch of sweetness from lactose. Well toasted and slightly roasty. A hint of caramel may surprise in the solid finish. Gold medal winner of the American Stout category at the 2016 U.S. Open Beer Championship.

Funnel
Oh, the joys of auto-correct. After FSB Brewmaster Darren Link used his own recipe for an authentic Munich Dunkel to win the 2009 Dayton DRAFT Homebrew Club Best of Show award, Gordon Strong, the current president and highest-ranking judge in the Beer Judge Certification Program, honored him by including that recipe in his highly regarded book ""Modern Homebrew Recipes". While corresponding about the beer through email, Strong's program changed "Dunkel" to "Funnel", and the name of the beer became inevitable. Funnel was crafted on FSB's seven-barrel brewing system and released to celebrate the sixth birthday of Ohio's only co-operative brewpub. The Munich Dunkel lager style offers a beer that is smooth, rich, and complex, but without being heady or heavy. Presenting a brilliant ruby hue from the copious amount of Munich malts used during brewing, these malts also create a fuller-bodied beer. From the aroma through the taste, you'll encounter a moist, yeasty, dense bowl of rather coarse dark brown bread dough just begging for the oven, with the finish cleansed by just a touch of earthy and mild East Kent Golding hops. It's relatively low ABV also means you can enjoy several pints savoring the taste, making this a true session beer. Hoist one for your brewpub. Happy birthday, FSB!

Strawberry Donut
The newest addition to the Brewnuts collaboration series is an overly fruited Berliner Weisse style ale.  This beer has large strawberry jam aromatics, with supporting elements of fresh donuts and pastry cream.  The flavors follow suit with strawberry preserves, pastry crust, and cool whip.

Batch #023: He Who Spelt It Dealt It
Experimental Hopped IPA With Spelt This beer is the perfect combination of old and new. Spelt, one of the original wheat species, is an archaic malt that we unearthed and combined with a hop varietal that's so spanking new it doesn't even have a name yet. BRU-1 hops have plenty of tropical fruit flavors, and spelt adds a nice roundness to the body, so this bitch is juicy as all hell with enough haze to satisfy all your trendy buzzword needs. Enjoy this old world/ new world mashup quickly, because like everything we make it won't be around long, and besides, this coincided well with Spring finally deciding to show up. Raise your glass, enjoy your hangover, and drink promiscuously friends!

Orange Crates
This collaboration was inspired by an iconic Trappist beer. Orange Crates began as a Belgian-style blonde ale, fermented with historic Belgian ale yeast, and dry-hopped with Mandarina Bavaria hops. The dry-hopped Belgian Blonde was then conditioned on Brettanomyces claussenii for 2 months. The beer was then bottle conditioned with the Brett. C. for 9 months prior to release. This is a toast to arguably one of the most well respected, recognizable, and style bending beers ever created. A deep cut of some of the grooviest funk brewed with our friends at The Answer in RVA!

Trotwood
Fireflies flash. Crickets hum. And the campfire, around which you and your companion sit, crackles and smokes. You watch the plumes, as they slip through the arms of old-growth trees, and vanish into an expanse of ancient stars. Perfectly timed, you reach into the cooler, and grab not one can, but two. You look deep into the flames, and smile. As the best stories always do, yours begins. “Remember that time when.” Trotwood Lager. A crisp, cold-fermented beer. Best enjoyed in the middle of nowhere with family and friends.

Flyer Red
Look up to a place beyond imagination. Where the few with a vision, never knew the definition of “can’t be done.” And where human determination was not measured by monetary gain. But by an ardent desire to get somewhere first. Ohio. The owners of the sky. Where the American spirit lives on. Flyer Red. An American Red Lager. A refreshingly smooth, patiently-fermented beer. Good things come to those who wait.

Golden Glow
As the sun rose past the horizon one summer morning, a glow fell upon the city. Taken by this sight, a local brewer found inspiration. Using lightly kilned malted barley and noble hops, he created a refreshingly pure, unfiltered beer. Golden Glow Hazy Lager. Brewed to drink on the porch or in the beer garden on long summer days. Hold your glass high to the sky and relax. Because good beer should always be savored in the moment.

Batch 022: Strawberry Creampie
Everyone loves pastry stouts right now, so we decided to go our own kinda route in that style, and make a pastry sour. Thinking back to flavors we enjoyed as kids, before we ruined our livers, credit, and criminal records and settled on strawberry shortcakes to play with this fun new style. This beer is nice and acidic up front, transitioning into a nice round strawberry flavor backed up with a nice complementary vanilla flavor. This bitch is really good, especially when its hot out, sitting next to a pool, contemplating the bad decisions that you'll make later that day. Enjoy a bunch of them while you can, because they won't last long. So grab a pint or can, drink like you're not gonna be here long, and drink promiscuously friends!

A perfect companion for any occasion, Oarsman Ale is a beer based in tradition, but with that distinctive Bell’s twist. A perfect beer to compliment any menu.

Root Beer
Abita Root Beer is made with a hot mix process using spring water, herbs, vanilla and yucca (which creates foam). Unlike most soft drink manufacturers, Abita sweetens its root beer with pure Louisiana cane sugar. The resulting taste is reminiscent of soft drinks made in the 1940s and 1950s, before bottlers turned to corn sugar and fructose. Some soft drink makers add caffeine to their product, but Abita is naturally caffeine-free. Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an old-fashioned root beer float. Abita Root Beer can also be used in cooking to create delicious glazes and sauces as well as cakes and other desserts, or you can keep it simple – just pour it into a frosty mug and slurp loudly through a straw.
